Primary
Location:
US, Oregon, Hillsboro
- Imaging TEM samples and performing analysis including strain, 4D STEM, EELS, and EDX.
- Conducting technical functions in support of engineering activities such as fabrication, failure analysis, technology development, process development, and process integration.
- Collaborating with engineering teams to optimize metrology strategies and troubleshoot process flow issues.
- Performing detailed technical procedures to prepare and image samples using advanced focused‑ion‑beam and/or transmission electron microscope tools in support of Intel’s research and development.
- Contributing to continuous improvement efforts in high‑volume manufacturing environments.
- Performing other related duties as required or directed.
- Continuously upgrading skill set and maintaining an open attitude toward learning new methods, tools, and fields of study.
- Minimum:
PhD degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or a related technical field; hands‑on experience with Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) operation. - Preferred:
Experience with Python scripting, MATLAB, or other programming languages. - Hands‑on experience with TEM sample imaging with automation.
- Hands‑on experience with Advanced TEM techniques such as EELS, EDX, and/or 4D STEM.
- Knowledge of semiconductor process integration.
