Designing voltage regulators for high speed, high power SoCs running at 100A/rail
Define Power Delivery Network, implement power sequencing, perform impedance profile analysis, IR Drop Analysis, modelling of PCB and Package Shapes and time domain Analysis.
Selection of PMIC, voltage regulator, MOSFET and other power delivery components
Perform Design analysis (power consumption, thermal dissipation, derating) for power design
Provide design guide to Schematics, PCB design team based on design analysis
Create schematics in Concept HDL
Work with PCB, thermal, Power Integrity teams to optimize design
Power on and validation of power delivery network covering step analysis, Bode plot, regulation, noise measurements, margin, dynamic voltage throttling
Mandatory skills:
5+ years of relevant experience in the field of low voltage high current multi phase power supply design
Hands on Closed loop analysis and stability testing involving power supplies of >50A
Create schematics and review PCB layout using Industry standard tool preferably Cadence tools.
Hands on Board PoL validation including EMI/EMC testing related specific to power supply noise
Able to communicate well in English
