Summary

The EHS&S Program Manager is responsible for maintaining and developing the Health, Safety, Environmental, Security, and Sustainability programs at AGC Electronics America. These programs include worker safety, respiratory protection program, industrial hygiene programs, risk assessment programs, environmental compliance, energy management program and all other programs included within the program’s compliance calendar. The EHS&S Program Manager acts as a subject matter expert as a support to the operations, quality, AMS, maintenance, and facility/engineering departments.

Job Functions/Duties
  • Controls, monitors, and develops the AGCEA Compliance Calendar.
  • Maintains, monitors, and develops procedures for the purposes of compliance with environmental regulations and permits.
  • Complete and assist AMS, Quality, and Sales/Marketing for the review of customer surveys and questionnaires regarding topics of environmental compliance and sustainability questionnaires.
  • Regularly meet and collaborate with safety and environmental vendor (WSP). Lead periodic safety and environment audits; complete and resolve identified gap actions.
  • Coordinates and develops vendor relationships, visits, and projects that are relevant to life, health, and safety systems such as the fire alarms, sprinklers, and detection systems to ensure compliance with all OSHA, NFPA, and DEQ service requirements.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for communications with regulatory agencies such as the ODEQ, EPA, Clean Water Services, Oregon Fire Marshall, etc.
  • Collects and monitors environmental data for submission of annual/biannual reports to the ODEQ and EPA.
  • Collects, monitors, and uploads all environmental emissions data for annual/biannual reports to the ODEQ for air emissions.
  • Coordinates, facilitates, and monitors completion of all water discharge permits including both stormwater and industrial pre-treatment permits.
  • Assignment and monitoring completions of all mandatory compliance-based training such as heavy equipment, machine guarding, LOTO, and all other trainings requirements designed to maintain compliance and prevent injuries.
  • Assist engineering and production for the completion of risk assessments and determining corrective actions for unacceptable risk items.
  • Responsible for investigation of all workplace accidents and incidents, uploading incidents to the Synergi Life system, and ensuring completion with all associated corrective actions.
  • Monitoring and uploading injury report data as required by OSHA and BOLI.
  • Development and implementation of safety policies and procedures as regulations are released to ensure ongoing compliance with all EHS&S related items.
  • Provides Safety Committee support; ensures periodic substantive meeting, walkthroughs, and accident reviews occur.
  • Monitors facility security, badging management, and provides recommendations for activities and investments to prevent property loss or workplace violence.
  • Serves as SME for facility evacuations, fire drills, and chemical spill response for all employees and onsite stakeholders.
  • Provides continual recommendations for improvements to workplace safety by managing the Facility Risk Assessment log.
  • Support Sustainability related events to support the ongoing advancements of SDGs at the facility.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Management Degree, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years progressive experience performing safety process management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, EPA and DEQ service/regulatory requirements; prior experience coordinating with regulatory agencies.
  • Strong MS Office skills;
    Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform job related mathematical computations and required reporting.
  • Outstanding cross-functional communication skills; both verbal and written.
