Electrical Designer (Intermediate) – Hybrid

We are seeking an Electrical Designer to join our growing engineering team supporting industrial facility and equipment installation projects. This role is ideal for someone with experience preparing electrical design drawings and collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will use AutoCAD to develop and modify electrical drawings, coordinate with engineers and designers, and support projects from design through implementation.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and revise electrical design drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Develop electrical plans, one-line diagrams, riser diagrams, and related documentation.
  • Support electrical power, life safety, and telecommunications layouts for industrial facilities and equipment installations.
  • Coordinate with engineers, project leads, and other design disciplines to ensure accurate and timely project deliverables.
  • Incorporate design revisions and maintain drawing quality and consistency.
  • Participate in project coordination meetings and assist with resolving design issues.
  • Perform occasional site visits and field verification as required.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience using AutoCAD for electrical drafting and design.
  • Experience preparing electrical plan views, one-line diagrams, and riser diagrams.
  • Understanding of electrical design principles for commercial or industrial facilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or technical training in Electrical Technology, Drafting, Instrumentation & Controls, Construction Technology, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC/NFPA 70).
  • Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, chemical, or data center projects.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
Additional Information
  • Hybrid work environment with occasional travel to project sites.
  • Field work may include walking through active industrial facilities, climbing stairs, and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
