Responsibilities
  • Lead scientific research enabling the manufacture of innovative device architectures and the realization of these architectures.
  • Design, execute, and analyze experiments necessary to meet engineering specifications for the process.
  • Participate in the development of intellectual property.
  • Integrate the many individual steps necessary for the manufacture of complex microprocessors.
  • Ramp to manufacturing volumes to demonstrate the technology meets requirements while simultaneously transferring the technology to counterparts in manufacturing via the Copy Exactly Methodology.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross‑functional development teams.
Location and Working Conditions

Primary

Location:

US, Oregon, Hillsboro. Shift 1 (United States of America). This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model, allowing employees to split their time between working on‑site at the assigned Intel site and off‑site. Job type is Experienced Hire.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $- USD. In addition, the compensation package includes competitive pay, stock bonuses, and benefit programs that include health, retirement, and vacation.

Qualifications
  • Minimum:
    Ph.D. degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • Minimum: 7+ years of semiconductor industry experience, including advanced node semiconductor processing, semiconductor fabrication, or nanotechnology.
  • Minimum:
    Design of experiments, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and computational data skills.
  • Overlay Development Requirements:
    • 7+ years of professional overlay development experience and understanding of process‑induced overlay impacts.
    • Proven experience with integrated process development to co‑optimize the process and overlay mark design.
    • Proven experience troubleshooting process impacts to overlay mark performance.
    • Proven experience driving integrated process change methodologies based on overlay impacts.
    • Overlay equipment development and vendor interaction experience is a plus.
    • Experience with ASML scanner EUV and DUV platforms is a plus.
    • Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues and optimize application performance and reliability.
  • Factory Requirements:
    • Understanding of modern semiconductor manufacturing processes.
    • Working knowledge of how modern lithography equipment operates, including the automation systems used to control it.
    • Familiarity with factory automation or manufacturing control systems is a plus.
