Roles and Impact

As a Facilities Development Engineer, you will design and develop equipment installation packages for first‑of‑a‑kind manufacturing equipment to produce advanced microprocessors and system‑on‑chip technologies. The role focuses on tool install designs and collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers to create permanent foundations for 300mm equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the design and implementation of steel pedestal designs in CAD/Revit.
  • Design, execute, and analyze engineering experiments to pilot and refine innovative construction practices.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to design, qualify, and improve equipment and systems, ensuring alignment with manufacturing requirements.
  • Develop and maintain Intel Master Design Specifications for tool install infrastructure and process technologies.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and global supply chain teams to ensure smooth technology transfers and equipment startup.
  • Perform operational analysis to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and safety processes.
  • Utilize CAD modeling tools such as Revit or AutoCAD to design or review structural layouts in compliance with US building codes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience or a master’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related field, with the required degree by September
    2026.
  • 1+ years of experience using CAD modeling tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, or equivalent programs.
  • Knowledge of US building codes, including ASCE7, ACI, and AISC, as well as building and fire codes for hazardous occupancies.
  • Strong technical writing skills for specifications and engineering documentation.
  • Career plan to register as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) in the state of Oregon within the next 5 years.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to evaluate and optimize operational efficiencies.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and with external suppliers.
  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam.
