We are seeking a hands-on Process Technician to support Process Engineering activities in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role will perform technical testing, metrology operations, equipment troubleshooting, process experiments, and documentation while working closely with cross-functional engineering teams.
Responsibilities- Perform technical tests and experiments supporting Process Engineering, including setup and operation of metrology and related tools.
- Operate metrology and process equipment, including TEM, Dual Beam (SEM/FIB), light microscopes, sputtering/deposition tools
, and other supporting equipment. - Prepare records, charts, graphs, diagrams, and other documentation of test and experiment results.
- Adjust hardware and software parameters to troubleshoot issues and execute process experiments.
- Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to troubleshoot process and equipment issues.
- Perform minor electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on process equipment.
- Perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance on process equipment.
- Modify software parameters for different experiments and process requirements.
- Assist with process-related diagrams, graphs, procedures, and training materials.
- Support process equipment qualification and process optimization activities.
- Follow applicable industry safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment.
- Strong hands-on and technical aptitude with mechanical troubleshooting capabilities.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a technical manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Access, Word, Excel, and Power Point .
- Ability to work onsite on the night shift
. - Ability to sit for extended periods, demonstrate manual dexterity, and lift/carry objects weighing up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to work safely while using required PPE and following industry safety procedures.
- 3-4 years of semiconductor processing experience
, particularly in thin-film deposition or etch within a high-volume manufacturing environment. - Experience operating semiconductor metrology and process equipment.
- Knowledge of EDS, EELS, PEELS, and STEM
. - Experience with process equipment qualification, process optimization, or semiconductor process experimentation.
- Willingness to occasionally travel to a training facility or customer location.
