Overview
The Vascular Technologist position at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center (Portland, OR) is a per‑diem, variable shift role focused on performing non‑invasive diagnostic procedures to evaluate vascular occlusive disease. You will operate ultrasound and Doppler equipment, objectively identify disease presence or absence, and modify protocols—upon approval from the supervisor or medical director—to meet special clinical circumstances.
Responsibilities- Perform non‑invasive vascular diagnostic studies using ultrasound and Doppler technology.
- Accurately identify and document vascular conditions.
- Modify procedures with supervisor or medical director approval to provide clinically useful information on a cost‑effective basis.
- Adhere to Inter‑Societal Accreditation Commission (IAC) standards and departmental policies.
- Provide shared regional coverage for stand‑by and call‑back on evenings and weekends.
- National Registered Vascular Technologist (upon hire) or National Registered Technologist – Vascular Sonography (upon hire).
- Oregon Sonographer (upon hire).
- National Provider BLS – American Heart Association (upon hire).
- Graduate of a four‑year vascular technology program.
- At least two years of experience in a non‑invasive vascular laboratory setting.

Compensation$44.12 – $68.50 per hour (base). Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.
