UST is seeking an Semiconductor Product Validation Engineer to support system-level validation of semiconductor platforms. This role focuses on executing validation plans, assisting with platform bring-up, running test cases, and performing first-level debug across hardware, firmware, and operating system layers.
The Opportunity- Execute validation test cases for semiconductor platforms across firmware, OS, and hardware components
- Assist in platform bring-up activities including system configuration, BIOS setup, and firmware flashing
- Install and validate operating systems (Linux, Windows) and required drivers
- Run functional, regression, and basic stress tests and collect logs and results
- Perform initial triage of test failures and support root cause analysis
- Work with senior engineers to reproduce issues and validate fixes
- Document test results, issues, and validation status
- Support lab activities including system setup, cabling, and test environment readiness
- Follow standard validation procedures, safety guidelines, and lab discipline
- Basic understanding of semiconductor platforms and system architecture
- Knowledge of hardware components, firmware, BIOS, and operating systems
- Experience with Linux and Windows environments
- Basic debugging and log analysis skills
- Familiarity with validation workflows and defect tracking tools
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
- Bachelor s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 3-6 years of experience in semiconductor validation, system testing, or platform support
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. Role

Oregon
Compensation Range: $56,000-$84,000
BenefitsFull-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, 6 days of paid sick leave per year (pro-rated for new hires), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible for the Company s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching, medical, dental, and vision insurance, and additional Company-paid benefits.
Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) and a Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico. Part-time and full-time temporary employees have varying sick leave and 401(k) eligibility. All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits will receive those benefits.
