You AreUST is seeking a Debug Engineer with knowledge of various subsystems and interfaces in a PC Client system.
The Opportunity- Debug the issues assigned to identify root causes.
- Prepare test systems by assembling the required hardware, flashing firmware and installing the OS.
- Analyze crash dumps, system logs, and performance traces to identify root causes.
- Investigate hardware–software interaction issues, including driver-related problems.
- Collaborate with Customer teams to achieve deliverables.
- Publish daily and weekly status reports.
- Write defect reports for the issues detected.
- Debugging platform issues on a Windows-based PC platform.
- Knowledge and experience using debug tools like Win Dbg.
- Ability to learn new platform features quickly for validation and debugging.
- Debug experience in any of these domains:
Communications/Connectivity (LAN, WiFi, BT, WWAN);
Power Management/Power Delivery;
Processor overclocking/Turbo/Thermal features;
Storage/USB 3 & Type C/Thunderbolt;
Graphics & Multimedia (Audio & Video technologies);
Security; AI/ML. - Ability to understand, articulate and isolate issues observed.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with different teams.
- Experience in debugging with Intel platform designs.
- Root cause analysis of platform defects.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with clients and identify and resolve issues.
- Experience using Intel ITP or LTB.
- Bachelor degree in electrical/computer engineering.
- 2-4 years of platform debug experience of BIOS/FW/platform ingredients.
Location: Oregon
CompensationCompensation range: $56,000–$84,000 per year (may vary by location, role, skill, education and experience).
