Job Summary
This role is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, coordinating team efforts, conducting technical interviews, performing validation and root cause analysis, and managing project deliverables. The role also involves communicating effectively with customers and team members, documenting product failures, and staying updated with new technologies and domain knowledge.
Key Responsibilities- Work with customers to prevent escalations.
- Coordinate effectively with the team.
- Conduct technical interviews for project requirements.
- Perform validation and root cause analysis.
- Perform escape analysis.
- Isolate and packetize failures to the correct component.
- Attend customer meetings and communicate requirements and results.
- Locate product failures and report them in the test repository and bug tracker.
- Learn technology, business domain, and system domain.
- Ensure product and validation comply with defined SLAs.
- Perform defect triaging.
- Adhere to schedules and timelines.
- Manage task deliverables with quality and within target completion time frames.
- Estimate time, effort, and resource dependence for own work and for others.
- Create component-level/product behavior documents, test reporting templates, BKMs, and knowledge-sharing documents.
- Report status of assigned tasks.
- Comply with validation standards and processes.
- Mentor senior validation engineers through on-the-job facilitation.
- Host classroom training sessions for junior validation engineers.
- Good presentation skills and diplomacy.
- Good bug advocacy skills.
- Automation scripting skills.
- Ability to perform severity and priority identification of sightings.
- Ability to estimate effort and time for own work and junior engineers.
- Ability to perform and evaluate tests in the customer or target environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Good written and verbal communication abilities.
- Good analytical skills.
- Understanding of product lifecycle and deadlines.
- Excellent domain knowledge.
- Good CPU/GPU architecture knowledge.
