Data Center Technician - Onsite

10 is currently seeking a Data Center Technician Graveyard Shift for an onsite position with a Major Professional Networking Company located in Hillsboro, OR. This is a 12 month contract opportunity. As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting console connectivity, server power supply, and network connectivity issues. You will assist junior data center technicians with the installation and troubleshooting of new SSDs and NVMEs into existing servers, providing mentorship and support for various server maintenance tasks as necessary.

This role requires employees to be physically present in the office on a full-time basis. Responsibilities:
Perform basic hardware diagnostic and troubleshooting of servers, escalating complex issues as necessary Troubleshoot basic Linux OS level issues on all servers Install new SSDs and NVMEs into existing servers Assist engineers in troubleshooting all auto build (Linux Kickstart) nodes that do not build properly Troubleshoot and resolve all network connectivity issues at the physical layer (port flapping, port down, link issues, etc.)

Resolve manually-generated tickets through cross-functional collaboration across diverse teams Process (identify, tag, and prepare) all server nodes ready for decommissioning Assist with any hardware installations that do not fall within the scope of work for quarterly organic growth Respond to all system problems on a 24x7 basis and take part in on-call rotation Assist in OS level and network troubleshooting Ensure data center house rules and cleanliness standards are being followed and report any concerns to leadership Requirements: 4 years in a Data Center Engineering Role 4 years network cabling experience 4 years Linux troubleshooting experience 4 years server hardware troubleshooting experience Desired skills:

Experience with ticket systems like JIRA, Salesforce, Service Now Certifications such as CompTIA Server , CompTIA Linux , CompTIA A or similar

Experience with automation and script use (e.g., Python, Bash) Familiarity with networking protocols and equipment (e.g., switches, routers) Experience using fiber testing equipment and understanding complex network mapping Strong verbal and written communication skills Sound problem-solving logic and analytical skills Ability to work independently and within a team Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Proactive attitude and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Ability adapting to new technologies and processes Pay range: $35.67 - $46.48 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis
