We are seeking a Data Center Technician to support critical data center operations, including rack and stack deployments, hardware installations, structured cabling, and fiber optic infrastructure. This role is responsible for troubleshooting servers and network equipment, performing hardware upgrades, and supporting data center buildouts while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

• Perform rack and stack installations of servers, switches, storage devices, and related hardware.
• Install, route, terminate, label, and test copper and fiber optic cabling.
• Support fiber optic infrastructure projects, including patching, troubleshooting, and cable management.
• Prepare, stage, configure, start up, and shut down data center equipment.
• Monitor systems and hardware for failures, errors, and performance issues.
• Troubleshoot hardware, network connectivity, and cabling issues and replace faulty components as needed.
• Perform hardware refreshes, memory upgrades, and operating system rebuilds.
• Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure proper grounding, labeling, and cable management.
• Document installations, moves, adds, and changes within the data center environment.
• Escalate incidents and critical issues to Data Center Leads and engineers as appropriate.

• High School Diploma/GED required;
  Associate's Degree preferred.
• Experience working in a data center, telecommunications, low-voltage, or IT infrastructure environment.
• Experience installing and supporting fiber optic and copper cabling systems.
• Ability to read and follow technical documentation, deployment plans, and standard operating procedures.
• Reliable transportation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

This is a Contract position based out of Hillsboro, OR.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
