Senior Procurement Specialist Responsibilities

  • Prepares and distributes complex and technical bid invitations or requests for proposal including logistics, warehousing, kitting, and cutting and packaging requirements as required; receives, analyzes, and recommends approval of bids most advantageous to Rosendin.

  • Processes difficult and unique purchasing transactions according to state laws, federal statutes, policies, and procedures established by Rosendin.

  • Assists departments with specification development, drafts RFP.

  • Reviews, analyzes and approves all purchases where award is not made to the low bidder to ensure justification exists and policy is followed. Reviews, analyzes, researches and approves purchases of a non-competitive nature.

  • Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of deficiency and take corrective action.

  • and plan all aspects of purchasing from project award to closeout.

  • company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers and professional service providers.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical equipment and construction materials

  • Working knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures, policies and accounting

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
    Must exhibit supervisory skills

  • Work independently with minimum supervision

  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.);
    Oracle

  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary

  • Work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude

  • Oral and written communication skills as required for the position

  • Self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player

  • Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others

What You Bring to Us
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management of related discipline

  • Minimum 5 years electrical construction purchasing experience

  • Combination of education, training and relevant experience

Working Conditions
  • General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning

  • Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.
