Responsibilities
- Drive improvement to factory manufacturing availability and liaison with factory for materials gap analysis closure plans due to supply and quality issues.
- Optimize end-to-end raw material supply chain to ensure low risk, business continuity, and waste reduction.
- Manage quality issues related to supplier safety, quality, and site MQI closure performance.
- Chair and lead technical teams and 8D work with suppliers and modules to close prevention plans.
- Drive continuous improvement and partner with FCS/GMO teams on supplier quality initiatives.
- Drive manufacturing availability performance across toolsets by managing material capacity and quality risks to zero in partnership with factories and MPMs.
- Define problems, build roadmaps, and engage or escale with suppliers to resolve material limitations.
- Collaborate with factory modules and leadership to improve cost structures, achieve outcome‑based contracts, and identify cost‑saving contracting opportunities.
- Lead, coach, and mentor less experienced Supply Chain Engineers; drive VF‑wide improvements and standardization.
- Cover multiple critical manufacturing floors (C4, Die Prep, Die Sort, Wafer Level Assembly) in the wafer packing ecosystem.
- Support senior leadership in incorporating process and quality improvements into Intel’s supply chain and logistics strategy.
- Define material inspection methodology, conduct cost, process, and yield studies, and implement optimization plans.
- Support product long‑range planning, define next‑generation methodology capabilities, and contribute to Intel’s future technology definition.
- Track supply‑demand trends, perform root‑cause analysis for process and quality improvements, and collaborate with supply‑chain leads to implement solutions.
- Lead supplier selection for new business, drive product and purchase specifications to ensure commodity performance compliance, and perform alternate sourcing risk mitigation for single‑source commodities.
- Establish control standards, determine KPIs, monitor performance against targets, and drive root‑cause analysis for supply‑chain issues.
- Drive supplier process‑window validation activities through all stages of development and manage supplier improvements on quality, reliability, yield, and cost.
- Maintain quality standards and systems, create specifications to minimize variability, and lead quality excursion management with failure‑mode analysis.
- Ensure on‑site presence and compliance with work‑model requirements.
- Minimum:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, supply chain, physics, chemistry, or a related technical field plus 6+ years of experience, or PhD in the same fields plus 4+ years of experience. - 4+ years of experience with semiconductor factory operations, supply‑chain engineering, supply‑chain planning, or supplier management.
- Strong root‑cause analysis and model‑based problem‑solving (MBPS) skills.
- Experience developing KPIs and tracking performance for supply‑chain operations.
- Project‑management experience.
- High proficiency in MS Office applications and data‑analysis skills (forecasting, budgeting, Power BI).
- Not open to immigration sponsorship.
- Preferred: MBA, semiconductor fab experience, engineering and team‑management experience, strong stakeholder management and people skills at all levels, contract‑management experience, and comprehensive understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and advanced packaging technologies.
