SUMMARY

Function: To safely and efficiently manufacture product strictly adhering to established standard operating procedures and company policies.

Scope: Responsible for executing established procedures for blending, formulating and filling containers.

Additional responsibilities include inventory control, maintenance of equipment, housekeeping activities and a strong focus on chemical safety and hazardous waste management.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The essential functions of this position require prioritizing and completing all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner, adjusting for changing priorities and availability of resources, and demonstrating initiative in identifying additional job‑related tasks to be completed when time permits. The amount of time performing each function may vary day‑to‑day. All duties shall be performed in an efficient and professional manner in accordance with the company policies and under the direct supervision of a designated supervisor.

  • Handling of chemicals using dispense systems for both bulk and hand, including hazardous waste.
  • Inspection of containers and completion of required documentation for specified materials, including hazardous waste containers and the collection system.
  • Maintaining inventory levels in the work area and reporting any deficiencies to Lead.
  • Adherence to corporate, State and Federal regulations and guidelines when handling hazardous materials or when exposed to hazardous situations. Must adhere to departmental and corporate standard operating procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintenance of process equipment and emergency equipment where applicable.
  • Preparation and staging of new and/or returned product containers. May require assembly of boxes and application of labels.
  • Filling finished product containers in a clean room environment.
  • Packaging of finished products and hazardous waste containers.
  • Maintains 6S activities.
  • Move raw materials and/or finished goods using forklift upon receiving company certification.
  • Performance of other related duties as required, including cleaning and general housekeeping.
  • Actively demonstrate high levels of employee engagement, coachability (e.g., receiving and incorporating business‑related feedback and instruction with a positive and growth‑oriented mindset) to achieve desired outcomes, and accountability for personal performance and its impact on others' ability to do their job well.
  • Perform other necessary duties and tasks as requested.
  • SUPERVISION

    Receives:
    General supervision given by Assistant Manager and above. Completed work is periodically reviewed for accuracy, completeness, and compliance within established guidelines.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
    • High School Diploma/GED or previous work experience required.
    REQUIRED PERSONAL SKILLS
    • Must be comfortable working with chemicals including, but not limited to, corrosives and organic solvents.
    • Ability to effectively communicate in English (both oral and written).
    • Have skills in basic mathematics (algebra is highly desirable).
    • Have a stable, verifiable work history with excellent attendance record.
    • Be mechanically inclined.
    • Demonstrates attention to detail.
    • Ability to wear a respirator mask to perform required tasks.
    • Ability to follow instructions in both verbal and written form.

This position requires employees to remain alert and observe surrounding areas and conditions to identify, recognize, and respond to potential obstacles, safety concerns, hazards, threats, property conditions requiring attention, unauthorized and/or dangerous persons, and emergencies.
