- Define and resolve process problems through individual and team-based continuous improvement activities and structured problem-solving methods.
- Develop standard work and ensure operators and supervisors are engaged and trained in running plant processes consistently.
- Commission new production equipment and processes, monitor modifications, upgrades, and troubleshoot existing processes.
- Work closely with the Plant and Maintenance Superintendents, Plant Engineer, and HSE Coordinator to monitor and improve the efficiency, output, and safety of the plant.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Engineering Team to ensure compliance with Corporate Process Standards, execute strategic initiatives (e.g., center lining), and resolve process issues.
- Make observations and take measurements directly; collect and interpret data to develop and implement process improvements.
- Provide technical leadership for environmental monitoring and ongoing performance of plant environmental controls and processes.
- Work closely with operators and staff who oversee quality control of raw materials, finished products, plant maintenance, product specifications, and production schedules.
- Identify root causes and recommend appropriate corrective actions proactively.
- Prepare and submit routine reports, and manage related action plans accordingly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum of 5‑10 years of related hands‑on work experience in a manufacturing environment with a proven track record of measurable results.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Basic detail and conceptual design skills.
- Experience with project management and implementation from initial planning stages to completion.
- Lean Six Sigma skills and experience preferred;
Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred. - Advanced analytical skills and creativity in solving problems/troubleshooting.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple short and long‑term projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), with the ability to effectively work with others in a team environment.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
This position requires the legal ability to work in the United States.
