Overview
Hillsboro Technical Operations (HTO) is a drug product & finished goods manufacturing organization that delivers Roche’s commercial portfolio and pipeline products. The Operations organization is divided into two value streams that produce millions of units of life‑saving medicine each year.
Responsibilities- Adhere to plant safety policies, perform safety audits, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in equipment setup, changeover, testing, repair, maintenance, calibration, and train other technicians.
- Operate and manage formulation, sterile filling, inspection, and packaging equipment, executing production recipes using SAP and MES systems.
- Perform bulk thaw, dilution, formulation operations, environmental monitoring, manual inspection of vials, and prepare sterile components.
- Maintain accurate documentation for accountability and traceability and report on equipment, supplies, repairs, process concerns, and opportunities for improvement in safety, reliability, yield, and efficiency.
- Perform cleaning and housekeeping duties as required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 1‑2 years of recent experience operating complex mechanical equipment used in washing, filling, conveying, sealing, inspection, and packaging.
- Computer literate; able to interface with computer systems, PLC‑based logic, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a passion for a LEAN culture and continuous improvement.
- English proficiency for reading, writing, and communication.
- Ability to work all shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) with required overtime and periodic medical examinations.
- Must perform cleaning and housekeeping duties as required.
- Associate’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, biomedical, or related medical industries.
Operations occur in an automated production and packaging facility. The role requires working all shifts with required overtime and periodic physical examinations to identify medical conditions that pose a risk to Grade C or higher operations. Relocation benefits are not available.
CompensationSalary range for this position based in Oregon: $42,400–$78,800 for the Manufacturing Technician level. Actual pay will be determined by experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other permitted factors. An annual discretionary bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
