Assembly Technician
The Assembly Technician supports the full lifecycle of industrial pump service by disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, and testing equipment in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. This role works a Monday through Friday schedule from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and requires consistent, reliable attendance. You will use mechanical skills and power tools to perform detailed teardown and inspection work, document findings, and help ensure high-quality, reliable pump assemblies.
Responsibilities- Disassemble, clean, and re-assemble pumps according to established procedures and instructions.
- Receive pumps into the service area, generate parts orders, and perform detailed teardown and condition reports.
- Document all observations during disassembly and prepare accurate failure analysis reports.
- Maintain, inspect, and replace equipment, tools, and supplies used in the service of pumps.
- Check power tools and hand tools for proper operation and report any issues promptly.
- Follow all procedures and work instructions throughout the assembly and service process.
- Communicate issues, concerns, or abnormalities to leads or supervisors in a timely manner.
- Test and troubleshoot assemblies and final systems to verify proper performance and functionality.
- Perform rework and quality testing on assemblies and systems as needed to meet specifications.
- Support general mechanical and assembly line tasks as required in the service center.
- Handle heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with pump service and assembly work.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and mechanical assemblies.
- Experience or comfort using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attendance and reliability, with the ability to consistently work a Monday through Friday 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. schedule.
- Ability to lift 35+ pounds safely and repeatedly as part of daily tasks.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and ability to accurately document observations and findings.
- Capability to follow written procedures and work instructions precisely.
- Willingness to perform general labor and heavy lifting in an industrial setting.
- Positive attitude and motivation to learn and grow in a mechanical environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Mechanical work experience in a service, maintenance, or assembly environment.
- Service experience working on equipment, machinery, or pumps.
- Sandblasting experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Exposure to hi-tech environments or equipment.
- Cleanroom experience or familiarity with working in controlled environments.
- Construction experience or in physically demanding work.
- Assembly line or general labor experience in an industrial facility.
- Interest in future career growth into field service technician roles.

WorkEnvironment
This role operates in an industrial environment with some areas designated as partial cleanroom spaces. You will work primarily on-site in a hands-on setting that involves heavy lifting, use of power tools and hand tools, and exposure to typical industrial conditions such as noise and machinery. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and consistent attendance is mandatory.
You will wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, especially in cleanroom or controlled areas, and follow all safety and cleanliness standards while performing pump service and assembly tasks.
