Process Technician

Location:

Hillsboro, OR Duration: 1 year with possible extensions Pay: $25.00-$27.00 / HR Shift: Willingness to work 12.5 hour night shifts, 3-4 days a week. Travel:
Occasional travel to client factory, training facilities and customer locations may be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate metrology tools, SEM, DB, or TEM to qualify process equipment and optimize processes.
  • Handle wafer/coupon materials while wearing protective personal equipment (PPE)
  • Using a wafer map, identify target areas of interest for analysis.
  • Perform technical tests and experiments for process engineering, including the set up and operation of process equipment.
  • Prepare records, charts, and graphs of test results.
  • Adjust hardware/software parameters to correct issues or execute experiments.
  • Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to troubleshoot process/integration problems.
  • Perform minor electrical or mechanical troubleshooting on equipment.
  • Perform preventative and unscheduled maintenance on process equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of semiconductor metrology experience;
    Focused Ion Beam (FIB), Dual Beam (DB) experience preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting computers/equipment/tools.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starting individual with strong technical and hands-on skills.

Physical Demands and Work Conditions:

  • The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Willingness to work 12.5 hour night shifts, 3-4 days a week.
  • Job duties are often performed in front of a computer for the majority of the shift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Some duties require PPE, including, but not limited to, consistent wearing of latex/nitrile gloves, safety glasses, safety shoes and a bump cap.
  • Job duties may require walking up to and in excess of 10,000 steps and walking up and down multiple flights of stairs per shift (12 hours).
  • Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds is required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing.
  • Duties also include application of proper industry safety procedures when working with dangerous elements or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc.
  • Occasional travel to TEL factory, training facilities and customer locations may be required.
