Handwork & Print Assistant

Originally established as a quick-print shop in the Portland area, our client quickly became known as a leading local resource for fast-turnaround printing needs of local businesses. This position helps in various areas at the end of production, including handwork, insert operator, and sorting responsibilities. A quality-driven candidate with an eye for detail is the ideal fit for this role.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 7 am - 3:30 pm. Pay:
Starting at $20/hr, direct experience & skills may pay more. Benefits upon hire:

• Assists the Insert/Sorter operator at the end of the mail machines
• Perform line breakdown and stack completed mail buckets for shipment.
• Set up and adjust the machinery that performs all the mailing operations.
• Staple packets, stuff envelopes, and assemble calendars.
• Move quickly between separate tasks and operations
• Work independently to maintain consistent quality through the run, and maintain quantity counts.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 months in a light-industrial (production/assembly line or warehouse) environment
• Bindery or Commercial Print Operator experience is highly preferred.
• Work experience in an environment that requires attention to detail
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds consistently.
• Must be able to sit or stand on your feet all day and be able to bend, turn, twist, and lift.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00
