Production Operator III
- Lapping is responsible for performing multiple processes relating to the manufacture of technical ceramics and/or metals following work order specifications. Works within a team environment to meet departmental goals. Maintains work area cleanliness.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Utilize tape measures, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, and amplifiers to accurately measure parts.
- Input employee time and efficiently transfer parts through production areas.
- Perform washing, detailing, and polishing of parts to maintain product integrity.
- Diamond roll lapping blocks and ensure proper granite table cleaning and preparation.
- Measure flatness and perpendicularity of beams, ensuring precision in alignment.
- Read and interpret blueprints to guide production processes.
- Operate advanced measurement tools such as the Autocollimator and profilometer.
- Maintain quality control (QC) standards for finished parts.
- Train new employees in operational processes and safety guidelines.
- Consistently meet production deadlines and efficiency targets.
Job Requirements:
- Swing Shift
- Monday
- Friday: 3:00pm - 11:30pm PST - Must be able to train on Day shift for a month before moving to Swing Shift
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not necessary
Experience:
- 1-3 years of manufacturing or production environment, using measurement tools and blueprint reading.
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Standing long periods of time, including reaching, bending, twisting, and good visual acuity inspection
- Repetitive Movements
- You will be sanding and polishing parts - Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Read/interpret standard and metric measurements
- Intermediate math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
- Deep knowledge of handheld measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, drop gauges, and advanced measuring equipment such as Smart Scope or CMM
- Use Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing to read and understand the rel
Target Hiring Range
Hourly: USD 21.86 - USD 26.37
