Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring 4+ years of LDRP experience and active OR licensure.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital-based Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit
- Cares for low to moderate risk laboring, antepartum, postpartum patients, and their newborns
- 2 triage rooms and private rooms with on-unit OR suite for C-sections
- Night shift schedule with options for 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts, including weekends
- Contract lengths of 13, 16, 18, or 20 weeks available
- No call required
- Floating within the hospital required; no floating to sister hospitals
- EPIC charting system is used and experience is required
- Responsibilities include triaging patients, providing MSEs, circulating and recovering C-sections, and supporting newborn transitions
- Scrubs provided for OR; no prints allowed
- COVID-19 vaccination proof is required with no exemptions allowed
- Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers; no mileage radius restrictions
- Maximum one week of requested time off allowed
- Candidates returning as travelers must have a 6-month gap from last employment
- Return staff must provide a reference from the previous OHSU manager if applicable
- Free parking is available at the facility
- Active Oregon RN license or pending license with application submitted to the licensing board
- Minimum 4 years of LDRP nursing experience
- Certifications required:
Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and AWHONN - Proficiency in fetal monitoring, triage, circulating in OR, IV start, and newborn transitions
- Experience initiating NRP for low-moderate risk deliveries, including starting CPAP and PPV
- Epic charting experience required
- Two manager or supervisor references from the past 24 months required for consideration
- First-time travel nurses not accepted for this assignment
