The Senior Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in oncology and infusion therapies provides direct patient care, mentors junior nurses, and coordinates interdisciplinary teams in a clinical setting. This role requires expertise in chemotherapy administration, venous access devices, and certification in oncology or infusion nursing. The Senior Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) has knowledge of Oncology and other specialty diagnoses, chemotherapy administration, side effects, infusion therapy, blood product administration, pain management, knowledge and skills with port-a-caths and all venours access devices. The Senior Infusion RN applies the nursing process in direct patient care and coordinates the interdisciplinary team to intervene according to assessment findings. Serves as a mentor for journey level Infusion RNs.

- Graduate of an accredited registered nursing school and Bachelor’s Degree – Nursing or Associate’s degree in Nursing
- 4 years’ experience as a registered nurse
- Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire
- National Registered Nurse Compact License upon hire
- National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire
- Unencumbered Registered Nurse License in state(s) of hire, and wherever care is delivered
- If RN holds a multi-state license through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), the RN must adhere to the requirements of licensure in the new state(s) of hire
- OCN (oncology nurse) certification or other national infusion certification upon hire
- 3 years – Infusion nursing experience
- 2 years – Ambulatory nursing experience
