DescriptionThe Oncology Nurse Navigator (ONN) serves as a consistent resource throughout the continuum of cancer care. This RN is knowledgeable about the multiple treatment decisions, strong emotions, and financial impact of a cancer diagnosis. The ONN will triage the physical, psychological and social needs of the patient and significant others, offering intervention and/or referrals as needed. Primary goals of this position are to: enable patients with information and education to reduce the stress involved in a cancer diagnosis, empower the patient to participate in their personal care process, improve understanding of their decisions and treatment plans, and complete the treatment through the point of survivorship planning when applicable.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Triage the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients and significant others.
- Offer intervention and referrals as needed.
- Provide information and education to reduce stress associated with a cancer diagnosis.
- Empower patients to participate in their personal care process.
- Improve understanding of decisions and treatment plans.
- Support patients through treatment and survivorship planning when applicable.

Required Qualifications- Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
- Upon hire:
Oregon Registered Nurse License. - Upon hire:
National Provider BLS – American Heart Association. - Within 18 months of hire:
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN). - 3 years oncology experience.
- Case management or Clinical Trial Nurse experience.
Pay: $50.14 – $77.83 per hour (base pay range). Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on‑call pay, overtime, premiums, bonus opportunities.
