Temporary - Registered Nurse, Emergency Department

Role Overview: Provides clinical nursing care in collaboration with the healthcare team, utilizing clinical judgment to diagnose and treat human responses to health issues. Responsible for patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, ensuring coordination across disciplines.

• Conducts comprehensive multi-system assessments, including biophysical, psychosocial, and environmental factors, and monitors patient status throughout care.
• Develops individualized nursing care and discharge plans, prioritizes patient needs, and delegates tasks appropriately.
• Implements protocols for medical and surgical management, accurately administers medications, performs procedures, and documents care in accordance with policies.
• Evaluates patient responses, adjusts care plans accordingly, and participates in quality assurance activities.

• Minimum nine months of RN experience, with one year in emergency care or completion of a related internship.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and valid RN license.
• Certifications required or completed within specified time frames: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and pediatric life support courses.
• Additional skills include computer proficiency and the ability to recognize cardiac dysrhythmias; preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree, previous healthcare experience, and specialized certifications like CEN or TNCC.
