Temporary RN - Emergency Department; Nights

Role Summary

Provides patient-centered nursing care under supervision, collaborating with the healthcare team to diagnose and treat health responses. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, ensuring coordination with other disciplines.

• Assessment:
  Performs comprehensive multi-system assessments, monitors deviations from normal, and conducts discharge assessments.
• Planning:
  Develops individualized care and teaching plans, coordinates care and discharge activities, delegates tasks appropriately, and prioritizes patient needs.
• Implementation:
  Initiates protocols for medical and surgical management, accurately documents care, performs procedures correctly, administers medications, and responds to emergencies.
• Evaluation:
  Assesses effectiveness of care, evaluates patient responses, and participates in quality assurance activities.

• Minimum nine months RN experience, with one year in ED or completion of ED internship.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

  Certifications:
  
  RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, PALS or Pediatric Course within 6 months, TNCC preferred.
• Additional skills include computer proficiency and pediatric emergency courses.
• Preferred: healthcare experience, bachelor's degree, certifications like CEN, strong communication, and interpersonal skills.
