About This Role

The RN in the Emergency Department is responsible for assessing, planning, directing, providing, and evaluating nursing care for patients. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who can collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.

• Perform accurate multi-system assessments, including biophysical, psychosocial, and educational needs.
• Identify deviations from normal on routine lab diagnostic tests and reassess patients throughout hospitalization.
• Develop an individual nursing plan of care sensitive to the developmental needs of the patient.
• Coordinate patient care activities and discharge planning with other departments and community agencies.
• Initiate appropriate measures based on protocol for managing medical and/or surgical patients.
• Correctly carry out the physician's plan of care and document care in the EMR.
• Utilize a multidisciplinary approach when appropriate and perform all necessary procedures correctly.
• Evaluate assessment methods, plan of care, and patients' responses to treatment.
• Participate in unit quality assurance activities.

• Associate's Degree (ADN) required

• Experienced level required

• Current RN License in Oregon
