Test Engineer
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified Electrical Validation Engineering Technician to join the Central Engineering Group (CEG). In this role you will perform board‑level electrical validation on Ethernet Network interface cards, operating automated test stations, executing manual electrical tests, soldering test points, and debugging equipment. The position offers growth opportunities within CEG and potential future roles in other Intel business groups.
Key Responsibilities- Execute electrical validation and test plans for networking and server hardware platforms.
- Set up, configure, and operate laboratory test equipment for validation activities.
- Collect, analyze, and document test results.
- Troubleshoot hardware, firmware, and system‑level issues under the guidance of engineers.
- Support board bring‑up, system debug, and environmental testing activities.
- Maintain validation equipment, test setups, and lab infrastructure.
- Contribute to test automation and data collection using scripting tools and software utilities.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to identify and resolve product issues.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- 10+ years of experience in a hardware technical lab environment.
- Expertise in soldering test points to SMD components (e.g., 0402, 0603, 0805).
- Proficiency in using and maintaining lab tools and equipment, including configuration, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Technical knowledge in electrical circuit troubleshooting.
- Ability to develop and interpret technical documentation such as specifications, test plans, and operational procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks or tools.
- Team player with proven ability to influence others technically.
- Strong soldering and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- High attention to detail, self‑motivation, and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment.
- Capacity to multitask and work in a fluid setting.
