Responsibilities
- Perform physical and technical tests to identify and interpret defects resulting in yield loss, and investigate component failures.
- Conduct electrical validation and fault isolation on products that failed test, finding associated physical defects.
- Document and communicate findings to peers, line operators, and managers.
- Make recommendations to modify equipment and/or processes to improve yield results.
- Setup semiconductor processing equipment and monitor, audit, and guide line operators.
- Process test runs and prepare records, charts, and graphs to identify deviations from quality standards.
- Ensure continuous evaluation and improvement of standards and specifications and act as a role model for quality behavior through Stop the Job (STJ) efforts.
- Perform and interpret lot dispositions for inline defect, parametric, and end‑of‑line data, and execute lot setup plans for experiments and other functions.
- Conduct engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect data or assist in research related to integration, process, and yield.
- Provide critical training support and consultation to peers to strengthen overall team capability.
- May be fully dedicated to route creation, modification, and troubleshooting of the flow of material through the factory using in‑house software.
- May use database report analysis to assist with route modification and out‑of‑control material disposition.
- May perform failure analysis, prepare samples, and use an X‑ray scanning electron microscope (xSEM) to image selected architecture and report results in a lab or factory setting.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a Technical Area (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics Technology, Material Science or comparable field).
- Minimum 1 year of hands‑on lab and/or manufacturing experience.
Preferred:
- 1+ years of military‑relevant experience.
- Hands‑on experience with sample preparation using FIB/SEM and/or Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM).
- Technical Certification.
