Data Center Physical Security Manager
The Data Center Physical Security Manager is responsible for managing and delivering physical security services for assigned data center site(s). This role oversees day‑to‑day security operations, contract guard services, security systems, incident response, and team performance while ensuring the protection of personnel, infrastructure, and customer assets in a 24/7 mission‑critical environment. The Security Manager partners closely with security vendors, Critical Operations, Facilities, IT, and the Regional Security Manager to ensure security programs and systems operate as designed and support uninterrupted data center operations.
- Manage and execute physical security operations for assigned data center site(s)
- Supervise, motivate, coach, train, and evaluate Security Officers and Leads
- Manage contract security vendors, including performance oversight and issue resolution
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot physical security systems, including access control, CCTV/VMS, and alarms
- Analyze system performance, recommend improvements, and support programming or technical security projects
- Lead response to security incidents and site emergencies, ensuring appropriate actions, notifications, and reporting
- Oversee security reports, logs, and pass‑downs; ensure accurate documentation and communication
- Maintain strong client and site relationships through frequent communication and support
- Support construction and commissioning security through transition to steady‑state operations
- Track security metrics and drive continuous improvement initiative

- Must pass a comprehensive background and drug screening
- Experience supporting data centers (hyperscale, enterprise, or colocation) or other mission‑critical environments
- Experience managing 24/7 security operations, guard staffing, patrols, and post orders
- Hands‑on working knowledge of IP video surveillance and network‑based access control systems
- Experience managing contract guard services and site security teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong incident response, investigation, and report‑writing skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑availability environment with shifting priorities
- You are a strong communicator, persuasive and clear, blending analytics with experience in decision‑making.
