Data Center Rack & Cabling Engineer

We are hiring an experienced Data Center Rack & Cabling Engineer to support white-glove rack deployment, positioning, and structured cabling activities inside a live data hall environment. The role requires precision, adherence to safety standards, and experience working with fiber and copper connectivity as per defined patching matrices.

• Inspect racks for any damage, moisture exposure, or temperature-related concerns before movement.
• Transport racks from loading dock to data hall (multi-floor movement using elevators and rack tugs).
• Position racks in designated locations as per mapping provided.
• Level racks and securely bolt them to the floor.
• Energize racks using pre-installed overhead power whips.
• Perform structured cabling from overhead trays to racks as per patching matrix:
• Verify correct port-to-port connectivity and labeling accuracy.
• Ensure proper cable routing and cable management standards.
• Support optics installation (if required).
• Coordinate with asset and white glove teams during rack movement and staging.
• Capture and report installation status as per guidelines.

• Hands-on experience in data center rack installation and positioning.
• Strong experience in fiber and copper patching and cable management.
• Ability to read and follow rack elevation diagrams and patching matrices.
• Familiarity with data center safety and operational protocols.
• Experience working in live data hall environments.

• Rack Tug Certification
• OSHA Certification

• Experience working with white glove deployment teams.
• Knowledge of optics and transceiver installation.
