Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Acumed LLC, part of Marmon Holdings, is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician (EMT) to perform unscheduled maintenance and repairs on all equipment and facilities in compliance with all State and Federal Safety, Health, and Environmental Laws. The EMT will analyze malfunctions, recommend repair steps, and record all inspection, testing, and repair activities in the record‑keeping system.
2,500 sign‑on bonus available for new hires at the Hillsboro location.
Responsibilities- Perform repairs and unscheduled maintenance on production machines with approval and oversight as needed.
- Coordinate timely equipment repairs with outside vendors, including contacting contract service providers and ordering parts.
- Keep accurate records of unscheduled maintenance and repairs, maintaining required documentation in SAP.
- Operate forklifts, power tools, hand tools, measuring tools, and other maintenance equipment.
- Observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly.
- Follow lock out/tag out procedures.
- Respond to on‑call repair requests outside of regular working hours.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 2+ years of machine maintenance experience or a combination of education and experience.
- General knowledge of production machinery and equipment such as CNC machines, CNC Swiss screw machines, and air pressure systems.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair capabilities.
- Good organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills.
- Familiarity with inspection devices such as calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices.
- Basic computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to follow all Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to complete all paperwork.
- Ability to obtain a forklift certification.
- Current, valid driver’s license and auto insurance, and access to a personal vehicle for job duties.
