The Electronics Technician I is responsible for supporting the testing, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electronic equipment and manufacturing systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical aptitude and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic testing and troubleshooting of electronic systems and components.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and calibration activities on production equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Perform equipment repairs and component replacements as required.
- Document maintenance activities accurately and maintain service records.
- Support equipment installation, setup, and operational verification activities.
- Identify equipment failures and escalate technical issues appropriately.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and quality standards during all maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve equipment performance.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and replacement components.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Support cross-functional teams during equipment qualification and validation activities.
Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field
- 1 3 years of experience in electronics maintenance, testing, or manufacturing support.
- Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation practices.
- Experience working in semiconductor, manufacturing, or industrial environments is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a rotating shift schedule.
