Maintenance Technician

Pay: $30/hr – $38/hr+ (DOE)

Overtime Available

Shift: Swing Shift

Mon: 2:00pm – 10:30pm

Tue: 2:00pm – 11:30pm

Wed: 2:00pm – 10:30pm

Thu: 2:00pm – 10:30pm

Fri: 1:00pm – 8:30pm

What You'll Do

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll ensure the smooth operation of machinery and equipment that support a high-demand manufacturing process.

Core Responsibilities
  • Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on production machinery
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues
  • Read and interpret operation manuals, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics
  • Collaborate with operators and team members across shifts to maintain uptime
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Communicate effectively with management and production teams
  • Support a fast-paced operation with quick, accurate problem-solving
Top Qualifications (Technician Level I)
  • 5+ years machinery maintenance experience or proven competency
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, shaft gears, motors
  • Basic electrical aptitude — able to read a multimeter and identify circuits
  • Basic understanding of PLC functionality
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics
Preferred Qualifications (Technician Levels II & III Considered)

Candidates with more of the following may qualify for higher levels and higher pay within the range:

  • Advanced electrical troubleshooting or LME
  • Experience with AOD pumps
  • Fabrication experience — lathe, arc flash welding, machining
  • Relevant industry experience (box/paper manufacturing)
  • Experience with machinery used in corrugated paper box production
  • PLC and VFD interfacing/troubleshooting experience

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hillsboro, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
