OverviewHacienda CDC, a community development corporation focused on affordable housing and holistic services, is seeking a Resident Services Coordinator for its new Dolores property in Hillsboro. The role supports residents in achieving housing stability, promotes community integration, and builds strong relationships among residents, property management, and the organization.
Primary Responsibilities- Support resident housing stability through resource navigation, skill‑building workshops, and collaboration with property management.
- Build a network of resources to support eviction prevention, resident health, economic empowerment, and strong social connections among residents in Washington County.
- Engage PSH residents in a trauma‑informed manner, promoting integration through events, resource navigation, and on‑site support activities.
- Communicate and collaborate regularly with the PSH service provider to coordinate support for PSH residents.
- Complete resident intakes, maintain resident services databases, and produce required reports accurately and timely.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with residents, onsite staff, and internal Hacienda teams.
- Establish and maintain contact with residents through new tenant orientations, monthly newsletters, and daily touchpoints.
- Evaluate resident data, program assessments, and information to inform partnerships and resident activities.
- Coordinate and host monthly resident activities, including community events, workshops, meetings, and celebrations.
- Facilitate weekly meetings with property managers to review rent‑payment data, support planning, and program updates.
- Engage residents in input and feedback on neighborhood initiatives, housing developments, and other projects.
- Minimum of three years of experience in community engagement/outreach, community organizing, or case management.
- At least an associate’s degree; two years of experience in similar roles.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required, with effective communication in both languages.
- Must be on‑site daily and have flexible schedule for occasional evenings or weekends.
- Strong teamwork, organization, and task‑prioritization skills.
- Willingness to learn housing rules and regulations, including Fair Housing, ADA, and reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to learn and practice trauma‑informed care techniques.
- Experience or knowledge of property management and leases.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Community Development, Communications, Public Health, or related fields.
- Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health disabilities, substance use disorders, and/or houselessness, especially in PSH settings.
- Knowledge of eviction prevention methods and resources for rent assistance.
- Prior knowledge of local resources such as food banks, OHP, school districts, etc.
- Experience coordinating and stewarding partnerships.
- CPR certification or ability to obtain within the first 90 days.
- Mission‑focused work connecting low‑income households and communities of color to new opportunities.
- Positive impact on community development.
- Up to 3% bilingual premium increase after 90 days upon successful completion of language assessment.
