Boys & Girls Aid's Safe Place Shelter in Hillsboro, OR is hiring a Part-Time (20 Hours) Youth Care Advocate. Are you caring and empathetic while maintaining professional boundaries? Can you stay calm and patient in stressful situations? Do you have a strong work ethic? If yes, you might be a great fit for this role!

Shift
  • Saturday: 3:30 pm - 10:00 pm
  • Sunday: 3:30 pm - 10:00 pm
  • Monday: 3:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Compensation & Benefits
  • Pay: $21.00 per hour

What You’ll Do

As a Youth Care Advocate, you'll provide direct care and mentorship to youth at Safe Place Shelter. You'll help build routines, foster positive relationships, and support youth in their transition to stability.

  • Assisting with daily living, homework, and applications
  • Leading age-appropriate activities
  • Modeling communication and problem-solving skills
  • Implementing trauma-informed care strategies
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring safety standards
Qualifications What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree + 1 year of experience in mental health, social services, or a related field OR 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
