We are seeking a Family Time Coordinator (Social Service Assistant) | Bilingual English/Spanish required to join our dedicated Child Welfare (CW) team in Hillsboro.

Bilingual requirement (English/Spanish) This position is bilingual and requires duties to be carried out in both English and Spanish. The job offer will be contingent upon passing test(s) evaluating your proficiency in the bilingual requirements of the position. This position may receive a 5% differential pay based on passing the required language test. Together, we can create lasting change!

• Gather and Document Information:
  Collect and record information from the caseworker, children, parents, relatives, case providers, schools, and other relevant resources to plan family time visits.
• Review Family Time Agreements:
  Meet with parents and caregivers to review family time agreements and guidelines, suggesting community resources as needed.
• Supervise Family Time:
  Supervise family time in an office or community setting, documenting relevant information. This ensures the safety and well-being of the children during these interactions.
• Transport Children:
  Assist with transporting children and parents/guardians to family time visits and other necessary appointments.
• Collaborate with Caseworkers:
  Work closely with caseworkers to assess the details of family time supervision. Recommend services needed for case planning and relay important information about the children and their families or caregivers.

• To qualify for this position, you must be bilingual in Spanish and English.
• A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required for this position.
• One year of experience working in a human services or behavioral health setting;
• An associate degree in any field;
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Experience building collaborative partnerships with community organizations and providing culturally responsive, customer-focused services to diverse populations.
• Experience interacting professionally and effectively with individuals of diverse identities, cultures, ethnicities, and abilities while promoting equitable and inclusive services.
• Experience building rapport with clients and effectively responding to emotionally escalated or crisis situations using trauma-informed and person-centered approaches.
• Experience maintaining accurate, timely, and objective case documentation, including observations and case notes, using electronic case management systems.
• Preference will be given to candidates that are bilingual in Spanish and English.
