Position Summary

Lorven Technologies is urgently seeking a highly skilled Python Automation Engineer to architect, enhance, and support advanced automation frameworks in a hybrid Python–Pytest and Robot Framework environment. This role is ideal for engineers with deep expertise in automation tooling, QNX/Posix systems, and UI/UX device automation for complex embedded or mobility platforms.

Job Description

As a Python Automation Engineer, you will design and maintain Python/Pytest automation architectures, migrate existing Robot Framework libraries into modern Python‑based solutions, and build reusable utilities, fixtures, and keyword components. You will work with QNX OS, virtualization, cloud environments, and device‑level automation while debugging cross‑layer interactions between automation scripts and underlying system tools. This position requires strong problem‑solving skills, deep automation design experience, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while ensuring high code quality and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect, enhance, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Python & Pytest
  • Perform migration of Robot Framework test suites into equivalent Python/Pytest flows
  • Build reusable wrapper layers, fixtures, utilities, libraries, and automation components
  • Debug cross‑layer issues involving RF keywords, Python utilities, and device tooling
  • Analyze large Robot Framework keyword repositories (1000+ keywords) for reuse and optimization
  • Develop automated UX/UI tests using Appium, Selenium, or similar tools
  • Optimize hybrid execution flows across Pytest + RF environments
  • Integrate framework components with CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, Git Lab, Azure Dev Ops)
  • Collaborate with cloud, device, and embedded teams to ensure robust automation support
  • Mentor junior automation engineers and enforce best practices in automation architecture
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience in Python automation (Pytest is mandatory)
  • Strong experience with Robot Framework (keywords, libraries, resources, variables)
  • Deep understanding of QNX OS, Posix systems, hypervisors, and virtualization
  • Experience with AWS or cloud‑native integration in automation workflows
  • Strong knowledge of UI/UX automation using Appium or Selenium
  • Expertise in modular test design and page‑object / keyword‑driven test patterns
  • Proven ability to debug complex automation failures across layers and frameworks
  • Hands‑on experience with Git, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related discipline
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
  • Experience in mobility, embedded systems, aviation, or large‑scale regression environments
  • Exposure to cross‑framework interoperability and framework migration strategies
  • Knowledge of hardware interfacing (USB, Ethernet, IP‑based peripherals)
  • Fault injection, hardware simulation, or multimedia interface (audio/video) testing
  • Experience with in‑flight entertainment systems or GMSL communication
