Frame Automation Software Engineer – Intel

Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, and debug software tools, flows, and methodologies used in design automation.
- Capture user stories and requirements to ensure software solutions align with end‑user needs.
- Write functional and test code to build reliable and scalable tools.
- Automate build and deployment processes to optimize development workflows.
- Perform unit, integration, and end‑to‑end testing of software tools to guarantee robust functionality.
- Collaborate across teams to deliver seamless solutions that address design challenges.
- Support Linux EDA tool infrastructure, including cadence, cliosoft, python, CI/CD, and Dev Ops.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 months of experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
- Strong understanding of artificial intelligence fundamentals and automation principles.
- Full‑stack software development experience, including front‑end and back‑end development.
- Expertise in debugging and testing software tools for reliability and performance.
- Experience with at least one EDA tool such as Synopsys, Cadence, or Mentor, and scripting in shell, Perl, Python, or Tcl.
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux platforms.
- Experience or coursework in semiconductor processing/engineering.
- Knowledge of OA/SKILL/Python VLSI mask design layout and/or verification.
- Familiarity with Cadence Virtuoso, Klayout, Calibre DRV, Calibre, DRC, ICV, or IC Validator.
- Background in microprocessor design, computer architecture, and software/programming.
- Experience with custom design and verification tools, debugging, and flow development (vendor or internal).
- Exposure to modern design methodologies or semiconductor design flows.

Annual Salary Range (U.S.): $95,640.00–USD. Pay within the range is determined by location and additional factors such as skills, experience, and education.
