Software Developer III – Software Engineering

UST is searching for a skilled software developer in our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high‑quality web applications and services using Python, MySQL, AWS, and more.

• Develop and maintain robust and scalable cloud applications and services using Python, Golang, and Clojure.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs for seamless integration with other systems.
• Write clean, well‑documented, and testable code, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Perform regular updates to libraries.
• Maintain infrastructure as code definitions.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with customer teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to define and achieve project goals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring the stability and performance of applications.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 9+ years of experience in software development.
• Excellent programming skills and proven experience with Python.
• Familiarity with Golang and Clojure.
• Experience in AWS cloud services (SQS, S3, EC2, ECR, Elastic Beanstalk, Route 53, Functions, etc.).
• Understanding of Azure cloud services (Scale Sets, Networking, API Management, AAD, etc.).
• Experience using Docker/Kubernetes and Jenkins.
• Experience with development and deployment practices/tools – unit test, integration, Git Hub, CI/CD.
• Good to have:
  Experience with JavaScript.

Compensation Range: $68,000 – $102,000 per year

Full‑time employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, 6 days of paid sick leave, 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty.
