System Validation Engineer - Tester II – Semiconductor Product Validation
UST is searching for a System Validation Engineer who will execute validation test cases (manual and automated) across hardware, BIOS, firmware, OS, and drivers.
The opportunity:- Set up and configure systems including motherboards, CPUs, RAM, storage, and peripherals
- Develop and run Python-based scripts for test automation, log parsing, and data validation
- Collect and analyze BIOS and OS logs; perform debugging and issue triage
- Validate system components such as DDR4/DDR5, storage (HDD/SSD), and hardware interfaces
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows/Linux/VMware)
- Log and track defects in bug tracking tools; follow through to closure
- Support system bring‑up, rack setup, cabling, and lab maintenance
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, system architecture, and components
- Good knowledge of BIOS, firmware, OS, drivers, and system‑level concepts
- Hands‑on exposure to Linux environments (SSH, command line, tools)
- Strong Python programming skills for scripting, automation, and problem‑solving
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast‑paced environment
