Materials Handler – Swing Shift at Gear Up Sports
Position Summary:
Team members will be cross‑trained in multiple facets of warehouse processes and expected to train others in a collaborative environment. They will also meet warehouse metrics and adhere to strict quality standards.
- Day: 1:00 pm – 9:30 pm
- Overtime will be required during peak production seasons
- Process orders promptly and accurately.
- Pick, pack, and ship products efficiently.
- Collaborate with a team to ensure orders are picked on time.
- Support inventory levels and replenish stock as needed.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and collaborate with the team to update the ERP system.
- Coordinate with other departments.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing products for defects.
- Ensure items meet quality standards before loading them onto the truck.
- Document any discrepancies and collaborate with the team lead.
- Work closely with team members to optimize warehouse processes.
- Communicate effectively with the assistant manager and team leaders.
- Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment.
- Practice safe working principles.
- Active participation in continuous improvement.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Previous experience using a forklift or willingness to learn to use a forklift.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Verbal communication skills to facilitate effective and efficient work.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Thrives in a fast‑paced startup environment – self‑starter, driven, and comfortable with ambiguity.
- Energetic and motivated.
- A desire to learn and grow.
- Calm and productive in the face of pressure.
- Ability to kneel, squat, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to climb OSHA‑approved rolling ladders.
- Paid Time Off (PTO) – 2 weeks (80 hours) per year for full time, accrued at the rate of .042 hours per one hour worked.
- Paid Holidays – New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
