The Warehouse worker is a crew member not in a lead position who assists with loading, unloading, internal moving, packing, unpacking, and other warehouse handling tasks under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Protectively pad and wrap items for loading in vehicles and containers
- Carry, dolly, or move items with material handling equipment to and from vehicles and containers
- Stack and unstack items in vehicles and containers
- Pack and pick orders for commercial customers
- Stack and place items in warehouse racking
- Record information used in the Warehouse Management System locator function
- Carry, dolly, or move items with material handling equipment within the warehouse
- Complete certified training as required for any material handling equipment assigned
- Comply with all safety policies and guidelines
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education / ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED, or three to six months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language AbilityMust read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Math AbilityMust be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Reasoning AbilityMust define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form.
Computer SkillsMust know Microsoft Office, learn move management software, warehouse management software, timekeeping, and other applications used in daily duties.
Certificates and LicensesNo certifications required.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment is moderate‑noise and employees are occasionally exposed to an electrical shock risk. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for disability.
Physical DemandsMust lift or move up to 50 pounds unassisted, use hands for handling, must stand, walk, kneel, crouch or crawl frequently, and must sit or climb as needed. Vision requirements include focus adjustment.
