Infrastructure Support Technician – Assistant II (Lab Support)

UST is searching for an Infrastructure Support Technician to assist with the physical setup and maintenance of our data center and lab environments. This entry‑level, hands‑on role focuses on the physical tasks that keep our infrastructure running, including racking, cabling, organizing hardware, and moving materials.

• Rack and stack servers, switches, and other hardware in data center and lab environments following standard procedures.
• Run, dress, label, and bundle network and power cables in a clean, organized manner.
• Transport equipment using carts, dollies, and other material‑handling tools, safely lifting and moving hardware throughout the facility.
• Sort, stage, and organize hardware components, spare parts, and accessories in storage areas.
• Decommission and de‑rack equipment, properly disposing of or returning hardware as directed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment; follow all physical safety guidelines when handling equipment.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and inventorying incoming equipment shipments.

• High school diploma or GED required; no college degree necessary.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as pushing carts, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a data center or lab environment with attention to physical safety practices.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail when labeling, sorting, and organizing equipment.
• Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• No prior IT or data center experience required; willingness to learn on the job is essential.
• Basic familiarity with hand tools and hardware is a plus but not required.

Location:

Oregon.

Compensation Range: $38,000 – $57,000 per year.

• Full‑time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, 6 days of paid sick leave, 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for additional benefits including a 401(k) plan with matching and medical, dental, and vision coverage.
• Part‑time employees and temporary employees receive pro‑rated sick leave and 401(k) eligibility.
