Warehouse Worker

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Protectively pad and wrap items for loading in vehicles and containers
• Carry, dolly, or move items with material handling equipment to and from vehicles and containers
• Stack and unstack items in vehicles and containers
• Pack and pick orders for commercial customers
• Stack and place items in warehouse racking
• Record information used in the Warehouse Management System locator function
• Carry, dolly, or move items with material handling equipment within the warehouse
• Complete certified training as required for any material handling equipment assigned
• Comply with all safety policies and guidelines

• High school or GED; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
• Math ability: add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent.
• Reasoning ability: define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn and effectively use move management software, warehouse management software, timekeeping and other software applications used in daily job duties.
