Student Worker, Computer Lab
Support daily operations of the computer labs.
Must be enrolled as a full-time Hill College student and maintain above a 2.0 GPA.
Customer service and basic computer skills.
Provides exceptional customer service. Performs computer lab service desk functions such as answering patron questions – phone, email, and in-person – managing borrowed materials and collecting lab usage statistics. Assists computer lab users with basic Microsoft Office application questions and general technology troubleshooting.
Assist with the implementation of lab initiatives, provide input on student needs, and help promote programs and services to their peers.
Work closely with Learning Innovation staff and lab visitors to ensure effective operations and a positive patron experience.
Demonstrates a commitment to maintaining a welcoming and safe environment that provides a sense of belonging for all.
Dependability, reliability, strong communication and mentoring skills. Ability to work evenings as required. Enthusiasm for customer service and technology.
This position may require flexible hours, including evenings and event days.
Light work: exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. The use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of force greater than that for light work.
Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
