Assistant Quality Manager

• Learn and master our quality standards, product specs, and inspection processes across cabinetry manufacturing.
• Partner with production and finishing teams to identify defects, troubleshoot issues, and implement real‑time solutions.
• Analyze key quality metrics such as defect rates, scrap, rework, and first‑pass yield to uncover trends and drive improvements.
• Support and improve SOPs, inspection processes, and quality documentation to strengthen consistency.
• Assist in root cause analysis and lead corrective actions that actually stick.
• Monitor finishing quality (stain, paint, clear coat) and construction processes to ensure every product meets standard.
• Build dashboards and reports to communicate quality performance and influence decisions.
• Respond with urgency to production floor issues, because quality can’t wait.
• Help coach inspectors and production teams, developing the next generation of quality‑focused employees.

• 5+ years of experience in cabinet or wood product manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of finishing processes (stain, paint, clear coat) and defect troubleshooting.
• Experience with quality systems, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• A data‑driven mindset; you analyze rather than guess.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a high sense of urgency.
• Natural leadership ability with a desire to grow into a Quality Manager role.

• Experience with industry standards like KCMA.
• Experience with quality dashboards, reporting tools, or advanced spreadsheets.
• Hands‑on experience repairing minor cosmetic cabinet defects.
