Overnight Production Operator
Location: Hillsboro, TX

CompensationBase hourly rate: $22.27. First 90 days: $19.50 per hour.
Hours & ScheduleHours:
6 PM – 6 AM.
Schedule:
4‑5 days per week, must be able to work overtime.
This entry‑level position supports the core team by conducting activities such as hand stacking product, cutting feet material, sampling product, moving materials by hand, using a forklift, emptying trash carts, conducting clean‑up activities, completing preventative maintenance tasks, assisting with start‑ups, monitoring production line, learning other key positions, and understanding finished product specifications.
Responsibilities- Follow the Job Safety Analysis, use safe work practices, and report hazardous conditions.
- Wear protective clothing and equipment as required.
- Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
- Perform housekeeping activities within work area.
- Operate a forklift and be forklift certified.
- Complete daily forklift check sheet.
- Know Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out (LOTO) oven and pallet conveyor.
- Apply proper product labels and follow standard labeling procedures.
- Identify different products produced.
- Read and identify different tapes for all products.
- Know warehouse location for product storage.
- Understand the JSAs that apply.
- Understand the operating procedures that apply.
- Unload and move material safely throughout the plant.
- Complete all safety requirements (Pure Safety/Monthly Safety Actions).
- Participate in daily safety huddles.
- Accurately swipe at scheduled times (timekeeping).
There are no supervisory responsibilities for direct reports for this position.
Requirements- At least one year of experience in a warehouse/production environment.
- Accurately read tape measures, work instructions, finished product specifications.
- Good math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and percentages).
- Beginner to intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office).
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Understand the Root Cause Corrective Action Process.
- Strong decision‑making skills.
- Exceptional team player.
- Able to drive a forklift.
- Stand for extended periods.
- Manually lift, push or pull at least 50 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics.
- Use hands repetitively (grabbing, feeling, sensing, pulling).
- Work safely in a fast‑paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Work in a dusty environment with a broad range of temperatures (hot to cold).
- Withstand a 12‑ (or
8)-hour rotating shift schedule. - Bend, stoop or kneel repetitively.
- Reach or work above the shoulder.
