Compensation

The base hourly rate for this position is $33.89.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver full truckloads of Johns Manville products to jobsites and warehouses.
  • Safely drive a commercial vehicle and comply with safety & DOT regulations.
  • Full‑time position – solo operator.
  • Dispatch loads out of Hillsboro, TX daily by planning routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules.
  • 5‑day operation with some weekend and overnight travel – must be flexible with scheduling.
  • Equipment: primarily flatbeds with some dry vans.
  • Interstate deliveries (TX) and intrastate locations such as OK and LA.
  • Maintain a detailed driver log of mileage, travel time and sleep to document compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Have the physical capabilities required to drive a truck for long periods and to tie down loads properly.
  • Have excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Perform vehicle inspection reports.
  • Use personal protective equipment as required and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Operate a forklift and work in a warehouse.
  • Assist with other tasks as needed.
Leadership Responsibilities

There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.

Requirements
  • Proven track record of at least 5 years of safe and verifiable driving experience.
  • Current medical certification.
  • Valid Class A CDL with Haz Mat endorsement.
  • Ability to meet Johns Manville's driving qualifications.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen test.
  • Must be able to tarp, strap, and chain loads to maintain cargo security and safety.
  • No DUI/DWI convictions.
Physical Requirements
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • The ability to manually lift, push or pull at least 50 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics, sometimes while in awkward positions.
  • Use of hands (repetitive motion, grabbing, feeling, sensing, pulling).
  • The ability to work safely in a fast‑paced, sometimes stressful environment.
  • The ability to work in an often‑dusty environment that experiences a broad range of temperatures.
  • The ability to withstand the rigors of a 12‑or‑8‑hour rotating shift schedule.
  • The ability to bend, stoop or kneel repetitively.
  • The ability to reach or work above the shoulder.
